Diversity and Inclusion

Mornington Chasers is committed to diversity and inclusion and welcomes runners of all backgrounds and abilities. Our ambition is to reflect the full diversity of the population in the area around the club.

Here are some of the steps we have taken to promote diversity and inclusion within the club.

If you have any suggestions for any initiatives we can take to promote running to under-represented groups whether in the club or in the wider area, please contact edi@chaser.me.uk.

Accessibility

If you wish to come to the club but have any needs around accessibility please do not hestitate to contact our equality, diversity and inclusion officer at edi@chaser.me.uk so that we accommodate your needs.

We have club members who have acted as guide runners for the blind and partially sighted. If you need a guide runner then please contact us. We will do what we can to help with this whether or not you are interested in attending our club events or are a member of another club.

The Talacre centre where we meet on Tuesdays has two accessible toilets accessed by radar key on the ground floor.

Trans and non-binary athletes

We welcome trans and non-binary athletes. If you are uncomfortable using gendered changing or toilet facilities, the Talacre centre where we meet on Tuesdays has two accessible toilets/showers which can be used as gender-neutral facilities upon request at reception. Due to space limitations, the Talacre center cannot provide a dedicated gender-neutral facility without reducing the dedicated accessible provision.
