Mornington Chasers Running Club embraces diversity and difference and is committed to providing opportunities that are safe, inclusive, accessible, and equitable. We will always listen and provide advice and opportunities to members and volunteers to ensure that everyone can participate as fully as possible.
We will seek to ensure that we comply with the Equality Act 2010 and the characteristics protected by it. These are age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, marriage and civil partnership and pregnancy and maternity. We are especially proud of our all-abilities approach to club inclusion, delivered through our beginners and improvers courses.
We will always endeavour to cater for athletes across a full range of abilities, and as far as is practical, we will provide opportunities for athletes of different abilities to train and compete together. Our subs policy includes subsidies to ensure that no member or potential member is excluded on the basis of affordability.
Our aim is to provide an environment where everyone feels welcome, represented, heard and able to participate free from discrimination, judgement, bullying or harassment. We will encourage members to contact us to discuss their needs and requirements to facilitate inclusion and we will ensure we consider what reasonable adjustments could be made to enable them to participate.
