"It could be the most terrifying Spooky Run we have ever run!"
First Tuesday of November, across Hampstead Heath. All abilities welcome. Fancy dress recommended. Pizza provided by the club at the Camden Brewery afterwards.
The main run will be approximately 6 miles, but there will be a shorter option of approximately 3 miles. The entire run will be at the pace of the slowest.
The main group will meet at Talacre at the usual time with the aim of setting off at 7:20.
Romany will walk from Talacre to Gospel Oak, leaving at 7:10 sharp and arriving at Gospel Oak at 7:25. You should join her if you prefer a shorter run but want to leave bags at Talacre. If you want a shorter run but have no bags, you can meet us at Gospel Oak.
The main group aims to arrive at Gospel Oak station at 7:30. Romany is in charge of the Gospel Oak group and may ask you all to move to the Lido car park if it gets too crowded. Under no circumstances will Romany set off with everybody before the main group gets there like she did last year.
If you have a headtorch, bring it. The club has a considerable number of headtorches. If you are meeting at Gospel Oak and need a headtorch, please sign up for a headtorch below so the main group know how many to bring with us.
The route will be entirely on paths this year as it has been rather soggy for the last week. Neverthless, running in the dark is never sensible and you only have yourself to blame if you encounter evil spirits.
