Pace: Suitable for all
Date: Thu 6 November 2025
Time: 19:00
30 minutes of 1200m reps @ 10k pace [2-3 mins static recovery] - take a slower pace & the increased recovery if you have a race at the weekend.
Warm up at 7 pm and we will be aiming to start the session at 7.15 pm. If you cannot make 7 pm, please arrive warmed-up and ready to go at 7.15 pm.
If new to track and/or beginner then feel free to come at 6.50pm and find me or Stephen for a first-timer briefing (I'll be dressed to the nines in chasers gear and Stephen will be in a white cap). We gather by the wall on the concourse in front of the track office.
When running at the track, be sure to follow the usual track etiquette. This is:
You should only run around the track anti-clockwise. You should run in lane 1 and overtake on the right hand side of other runners - this is especially true of any warm up laps we do en masse before we start!
If you are being overtaken stay in lane 1.
if you need to make someone aware of your presence, shout "track"
If you are jogging or walking, do so either in the grass infield or in lane 8. Do not come to a dead stop on the track: leave the track to the infield and then stop.
Do not walk across the throwing area.
Do not run two abreast.
Bags can be left at the start line as I'll be with them throughout the session but they will be left at your own risk.
