As we are going to be putting a coach on, whether you running or cheering, can you sign up to the event. I will assume you are getting the coach unless you tell me otherwise. It would be really helpful if you could sign up for the following reasons:
1. Runners: Helps me with recording times on the day
2. All: I obviously don’t want to leave Kentish Town without everyone on board and the last thing I want to do is leave a Chaser lost in South London!

Full details of coach will be updated early next week but it is likely to be:
Depart Talacre: 7.30
Depart Dulwich: 12.45
Thanks

London Marathon Elite drinks volunteering

Date: Sun 3 October 2021
Time: 07:00

Every year, the Mornington Chasers organise one of the elite drinks tables at the London Marathon, in exchange for places in the race.  We need Chasers to volunteer to help out between 7am and around 11am/12pm on the day.  We'll be based just before Tower Bridge.  It's an early start but lots of fun and a unique perspective on this amazing event.

I have given priority to Chasers who signed up for this last year and missed out, and we now have 8 places left over to allocate to any current member (paid or lifetime).  (If you signed up last year and have told me you would like to volunteer this year then please don't sign up here as well - you are already on the list.)

Volunteers will need to register online (with a passport-style photo).  Once your place is confirmed, I'll send you a link to do this.

***Please contact Lizzy if you have signed up but can no longer volunteer!***

Laurie Boult Exciting! 🧡💚

22nd July 2021 - Update

Mornington Chasers important Summer League Announcement for the Regents Park Race on Sunday 25th July.

The race time has been brought forward to 9AM and the event/picnic area will be the softball pitch opposite our usual area.

The reason for some modifications to the event is due to COVID. As we know COVID is still with us. Royal Parks have certain protocols which need to be considered in the planning of the event and observed on the day. In order to do that all runners need to be aware of the key facts which are published on the Summer League Website.

Two highlight the two key considerations for all participants:

1. Do not turn up if displaying symptoms, or have been in contact with someone that has tested positive

2. Consider the safety measures (relating to Covid) that will be in place in order that you can make an informed decision whether to participate

http://www.thesummerleague.uk/fixture.php?id=49

Can I ask that all participants, including those wishing to register on the day, read all the information at this link.

Many thanks

Nick

Rebecca Taylor Hi everyone, Kit Sec hat on here. Did you know new members get a club vest when they sign up! We’ve tonnes of new members over lockdown who likely want vests. Some of you I know about and have vests ready for collecting but others please  do let me know. I need to order more as we have run out of some stock so it would be really helpful to get an idea of quantity and  sizes. You can email me at kit@chaser.me.uk.  On another note Soar vests have a limited amount of Chaser technical vests in stock as they made a few extra. Expertly modelled here by me and my friend Matt Brand, please give me a shout if you want to try a sample for size or would like to order.

Rebecca Taylor posted a link. Hi Chasers, I’m double parked race wise on Saturday 17th. I have a spare spot at the run through Olympic Park 10km I can transfer to anyone that wants it free of charge.  Basically covid took all the races away, I forgot about them and now there’s more than I can handle. First person to let me know here and pm me full name, DOB and email address gets it.  RT x ht

Date: Sun 26 September 2021
Time: 10:30

Hi!

I've entered this race. Come join me for some fresh air and lovely scenic trails in Trent Country Park, as well as trying for a PB! Could bring some tea and cake too for postrun :)

See link to signup... https://www.triffictrail.com

The race takes place entirely within the picturesque grounds of Trent Park Country Park, Enfield. It is a beautiful location with plenty of great views, woodland walks and fun running. This is an annual open event and attracts a full range of runners from the very fast elite, to first-timers and fun runners. Many competitors return year after year. The course has everything, taking in grass and path, woods and open fields, a few hills and some fast roadway, but all within Trent Park.
