The North Downs way is a 153m path which starts in Farnham passes souuth of London and ends in Canterbury. There are many great runs to be had using the rail network with either out and back runs to the same station (cheaper you can get a day return) or running between stations.
This route starts and finishes at Merstham station, which is about an hour out of Kentish Town station, going over Box Hill and through Denbies vineyard.
Other convenient stations from which to access the North Downs path are Farnham, Guildford, Westhumble (near Box Hill), Oxted, Dunton Green etc.
