London Marathon Volunteering Every year, we organise one of the elite drinks tables at the London Marathon, in exchange for places in the race.  We need Chasers to volunteer to help out between 7am and around 11am/12pm on the day. We'll be based just before Tower Bridge. It's an early start but lots of fun and a unique perspective on this amazing event.   We have given priority to Chasers who signed up for this last year and missed out, and we now have 8 places left over to allocate to any current member (paid or lifetime). Volunteers will need to register online (with a passport-style photo).  Once your place is confirmed, Lizzy will send you a link to do this. Please contact Lizzy if you have signed up but can no longer volunteer! Summer League We hosted the first Summer League fixture of the year on Sunday at Regent's Park. Well done and thank you to Nick Johnson for organising the event along with all volunteers and marshals. It was made particularly challenging to organise this year due to the many Covid protocols in place. Sunday's results are now up on the Summer League Website here The next Summer League fixture is at Dulwich Park on Sunday 15 August. We are looking at putting on a coach to travel to Dulwich. Please could anyone who wishes to attend, that’s runners or cheering squad, to sign up here over the next few days as Nick will be looking to get the transport booked soon. Southern Athletics League (SAL) Fixture 3 - Perivale The Perivale SAL fixture has been moved to 15 August and now unfortunately clashes with the Dulwich Summer League. Neither Sarah nor Janine can be there on the day but there is a plan to manage it remotely and there are still going to be some Chasers going. If you would like to take part, please sign up here. Janine will be sending more details the week before to everyone going. Tuesday Runs Just a reminder that we are now back to running from Talacre on Tuesday nights. Please meet outside in Talacre Gardens at 7pm for a 7.15pm start. Unfortunately we cannot currently use the lockers and showers in the Sports Centre. Thursday Track This Thursday's track session is: 10 x {400m (3k pace) [2 min]}. Total distance 4000m. Click here to sign up. The toilets and changing rooms at the track are now available whenever the track is open. Chingford League All of the Chingford League races for 2021/22 are now on the calendar. Some details are still to be confirmed but you can now get the dates in your diaries. They are giving us a load of races this season.
