Summer League Perivale is cancelled due to the postponement of full relaxation of COVID restrictions but the good news is that Summer League will still go ahead and the schedule is now confirmed as: Regents Park: Sunday 25th July Dulwich: Sunday 15th August Battersea: Sunday 22nd August Results will now be determined by a 2 out of 3 race basis. Events will be as normal with relays and the usual arrangements on food being provided by the host club. The only amendment to prior years will be at one of the races (likely Regents Park) the prizes from last year will be given out. Events have now been updated on the calendar so Perivale has been deleted and the others are now available for sign up. We need people to volunteer to help with the event we are hosting in Regents Park. Click here for the sign up page to volunteer. We need people to help on the day and also with other things prior to the day. Having reviewed what is required and what has been done in previous years here is what we need to make this a great Chaser event: Core team We need a team of 6 to help on the day to carry out specific roles which may involve some bits and pieces prior to the event as well: Course set up the day - This will be 7.00 AM start required through to end of event From this Core Team we need to have people to cover the following roles Food; Co-ordinating prior to and on the day Water Stations; Co-ordinating prior to and on the day Start and Finish; Oversee for both main race and relays Logistics; We need a wheel’s man or woman (ideally suits someone with a car!) Course & Marshalls; Setting up the course (relays as well & head of marshals) First Aid; To be provided externally but we need a point of contact on the day Marshals We need a team of 10 to 12 course marshals. Arrive on the day - This will be 8.15 AM start required through to end of event Marshalling duties include: Directing runners during the race Sweeping course for remaining runners Collecting letter post-race – We want to run a litter free event If you are able to volunteer, please could sign up by the end of next week. When you sign up please can you drop Nick Johnson a message indicating whether you would like to be part of the core team or marshals and state any preferred role for the core team. 150th Anniversary of the Hampstead Heath Act After your Tuesday run next week, come to the Heath for a picnic! There will be a huge picnic event to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Act that saved the Heath, so let's take part. Click here to join.
