Chase-Go is back! 1st April is the start of the running year, and we can run in groups of 6. Obviously this means the return of Chase-Go! Starting from Thursday, you'll have the whole of April to complete your buddy-ups. The popular challenges from Chase-Go 2020 remain, but with new challenges that include: 'joining a run of 6', 'leading a run of 6', 'buddying up with someone that you've not run with before', as well as getting involved with track. Last year's Chase-Go brought us together when lockdown was keeping us apart. It was a lovely opportunity for long-term club runners and new club runners to meet, run and make friends. Hope you can all get involved this year. There will be prizes, including glory. Enjoy! Laurie Saturday Morning Track Sessions John Armstrong is planning to lead regular Saturday track sessions, at least till June. Unlike for Thursday club track sessions, you will have to pay to use the track or purchase a season ticket if you want to join the Saturday sessions. There is a club discount on season tickets available. In addition to paying for the track, please sign up using this link to let John know you are going as he can only coach up to 15 with reasonable social distancing. Workout of the Week Last week’s workout of the week winner was Rendy Prakoso with a scorching score of 116.82%. Rendy’s handicap jumps from 58.48% to 65.06%. Facebook We love welcoming new members to our club and we know that our Facebook group is often people's first step in checking the club out. We also want to make sure that our FB group is primarily for members, potential members, previous members, and friends of the running community who genuinely offer support to the club. We were getting some people joining the FB group purely for promotional purposes. So we put in place a set of questions that anyone asking to join the group will have the opportunity to answer. They will also have the opportunity to confirm that they share our values. Anyone not answering the questions or not indicating that they share our values will have their request to join our FB group declined. I'm sharing this to help our members know what we're doing to keep FB a place for members and community friends. If you're directing someone to join our FB group, please tell them to answer the q's. Saturday Morning Track Sessions
