Tier 4 Restrictions Chasers! I’m sure you’ll all have familiarised yourselves with the rules of Tier 4, but I’m here as your friendly Coronavirus Officer to confirm that we are allowed to run with just one other person at a time. Webmaster John has already updated the calendar to ensure that we can still arrange +1 runs. Stay safe! Laurie x Workout of the Week - Christmas Edition It’s likely to be a difficult week for everyone but personally I’m feeling grateful that we’re still allowed to run. We’ll call this one ‘down the chimney’. Santa hats optional. Remember to do a warm up jog of about 10 mins. Start the first rep at your 10mile pace and work your way down to mile pace for the last couple of reps. The rest is in brackets e.g [90s] = 90 seconds static or walking rest. If you’re new to intervals start at 4mins. 5 min [90s] 4 min [90s] 3 min [60s] 2 min [60s] 1 min [30s] 30 sec [mince pies] Merry Christmas everyone and please reach out if you’re struggling- Chaser’s don’t have a rep for being the friendliest club for nothing. Lauren Track There will be no group track session this week but the track is open for individual bookings Chaser's Christmas Day Spectacular Take part in the Mornington Chasers' Christmas Day Spectacular! You will have 60 minutes to find landmarks around Hampstead Heath and complete a number of challenges. Due to the restrictions, you will now be in groups of two. The first group back to have completed the most landmarks and challenges will be crowned the victors.  We are encouraging Chasers to bring a secret santa present to swap - the prize should be something in your home that you are desperate to get rid off (so probably no toilet paper). The map of landmarks and challenges will be released shortly. There will be a one point penalty for every five minutes over the cut off point. Beginners 0-5k Programme Rules permitting, our next course will now start on 1 February 2021. At the last count we had 20 places on the course, with 12 remaining. Groups of 5 runners will each run with 1 trained leader. This is for anyone who cannot yet run a full 5k, or for 30 mins without stopping. Only £10 for the 8 to 10 week course. If you’d like to join our waiting list, please sign up below. Sessions will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and will be allocated later. Details and waiting list link here Chase-Go The final Chase-Go results are in! We’ve loved seeing everyone’s photos, Strava updates, fancy-dress costumes and competitive streaks! In the spirit of the supportive nature of this challenge - all category winners will get a copy of one of Carmen Ní Arachtáin's London Tour guides of their choice (gifted by the club) and the overall winner will additionally get a small voucher for Runners Need.
