THIS GAME IS NOT OVER YET! More crowns to be announced at the weekend!
Congratulations to our first Chasers over the line!
Track is Back!
Track training resumes on Thursday. We can also resume group runs in groups of up to 6.
Please remember our general rules of running during coronavirus
Follow government guidance at all times
Book your runs through the calendar so we can keep track of who has run together
Do not run if you have coronavirus symptoms – government guidance requires that you must self-isolate, you should also obtain a coronavirus test.
If you test positive for coronavirus please contact welfare@chaser.me.uk
The track is a designated COVID-secure environment so we can organize coached sessions for groups larger than 6. Please follow the following rules at track.
You must book a slot using our calendar before coming to track. If you have not booked you will be asked to leave.
You must follow all the coaches' instructions on social distancing.
If you are showing coronavirus symptoms you must not attend track. You must follow government guidance and self-isolate. You should obtain a coronavirus test and inform welfare@chaser.me.uk if you have a positive test.
Please bring your own water as there is none available at the track.
You can find a full risk assessment here.
North Downs Trail Run
Andrew Disley has organised, in his words, a low budget follow up to Mark Lamb's North Downs Mk I run this Saturday to escape from the Smoke once lockdown is lifted! Click here for further details and the sign up page.
Workout of the Week (WOOTW)
It’s great to see so many of you getting involved in Workout of the Week. This one should help you tick off those last Chase-Go boxes.
Warm up to include 10-15 mins of jogging, some drills and strides. The session is pretty simple:
30 minutes of 90 seconds run, 90 seconds rest (@ 3k pace ish, you may find you go a little quicker) followed by a cool down jog
Instead of basing it on time run one lap then recover when the other person is running their lap (and repeat for 30 mins). Any questions give Lauren Longhurst a shout- enjoy!
Festive Photos Competition
Please send Rebecca Taylor photos of the most Christmassy things you see on your runs and Carmen Ní Arachtáin will judge the best! The winner gets a tub of Quality Street and the prize of bringing a warm Christmassy glow to all Chaser-kind.
Sarah's 12.5 Hours of 5ks
Sarah Funderburk broke Strava, running over 46 miles of the outer circle over 12.5 hours at the weekend. Many chasers turned up to support this amazing ’training’ run.
Virtual Pilates Class
Pilates led by Danielle Smreczak are currently taking place on Mondays at 6pm. Connection details will be shared on Facebook in advance.
