Hellish Hills Race. A huge thank you to Carmen for organising the Hellish Hills Race last Sunday, and thank you to everyone who volunteered to marshal. The run was a great success, well done to all of the runners who braved the rain and took on the challenging route! North Downs Way Trail Run. Want to swap training on tarmac for some beautiful trails? Mark will be organising two options Guildford to Box Hill (14miles, 500m of ascent) and a shorter option from Gomshall to Box Hill (7 miles, 250m of ascent) along a similar route. Sign up via the event calendar. When signing up please can you indicate preferred distance for planning purposes, although this is not a binding commitment! The plan is to meet at Waterloo station at 8am and take the train together to Guildford, split into groups of 6 or less based on preferred route and pace. We aim to have groups for all abilities. There should be the option to finish for a drink/food at the Stepping Stones pub or a takeaway option at the National Trust cafe at Box Hill to enjoy the views. Spooky Run 3rd November. On the first Tuesday after Hallowe’en it is time for Spooky Run. It will be an orienteering event by headtorch for teams of 4. Fancy dress advised. There may be tricks and treats. This year we probably won’t be able to supply headtorches. The club has purchased Alpkit headtorches in the past that work well. The Viper head torch is what we use in the club. The Muon is cheaper and brighter, but the batteries will be dead in 2 hours. Running geeks might want to post their recommendations for headtorches on Facebook. Velopark 10 Mile race. With less than two weeks until our 10 mile Velopark race, we want to remind our members to purchase their tickets. This is set to be a great event for both chasers and members of the public.  Hatfield 5 Mile Race. A group of chasers are organising a trip to the Hatfield 5 mile race on 29th November. A flat course through rural roads, sign up here. Online Fitness Classes.  Pilates lead by Danielle will resume this week, Monday at 18:00. Connection details will be shared on Facebook in advance. Fundraising.  Please contact newsletter@chaser.me.uk if you would like your fundraising link to be added to the newsletter.
