Beginners. We restarted our fab Beginners programme yesterday! Sadly, we missed a whole spring/summer season of Beginners this year, but have now found a way to start back within the safe social distancing guidance. Our numbers are of course more limited than usual, and all places are now filled. If you know anyone who would like to be added to the waiting-list, please tell them to email beginners@chaser.me.uk. The course costs just £10 which is redeemable against our annual membership for anyone who decides to become a full time Chaser.  Thank you to our amazing volunteer leaders Laurie Boult and Matt Brand for organising the sessions! Autumn Training. We've put together an autumn training schedule building to our (still provisional) 10 mile race on Saturday October 17 and then the Thames Meander Trail Half Marathon on Saturday 7 November. This schedule will be used as a basis for the coached sessions at Parliament Hill Track on Thursday evenings. Please note that this week there will only be one coached session at Parliament Hill Track which will take place at 18:30. This will be for the first 12 members to arrive. If more than 12 people arrive then late arrivals should form a second, separate group in order to maintain social distancing. Remember that you need to book a slot at Parliament Hill track before coming. You can do this by logging into the website and then you will see a link you can use. Alternatively, select Training->Parliament Hill Track on our website. Velopark Volunteers. We've provisionally booked the Olympic velopark for a 10 mile race on Saturday October 17th. If you would like to volunteer as a helper at that race, please sign up using this link. We know a lot of people will prefer to run the race, so we're only looking for people to volunteer if they don't want to run. But if you want to be there on the day cheering people on without running yourself, then volunteering is the way to do it. If you plan to run it yourself but would like to have a volunteer supporting, sign up in your name but let us know in the comments the name and email address of who will really be doing the work. Meet the Chasers. It’s our final chaser of the week, and we have decided to go out with one of our fantastic club founders Gerry Naughton! Still a big support to the club, his post Dublin marathon parties are the stuff of Chaser folklore! Click here to read all about Gerry’s fascinating running journey and find out more about the history of our much loved club.  Online Fitness Classes.  Classes for this week are listed below, connection details will be shared on Facebook in advance. -Pilates lead by Danielle - Monday - 18:00 Fundraising.  Nicky Chorley is running his first Half Marathon in aid of Crisis, a charity who help thousands of people to leave homelessness behind for good, click here to donate.
