London Marathon Club Places December is here which means it's time to apply for club places for the London Marathon! If you are interested in applying, please send an e-mail to Jenny Moore (jennifer.l.moore.4@gmail.com) by EOD Monday 16th December including the following information:  - Proof that you applied for a ballot place and were unsuccessful - Confirming that you have been a member of the club for at least 12 months -  Involvement in the club (volunteering, marshalling, racing in club events etc.)   All applicants must be fully paid first claim club members and not have used a London Marathon club place in the last three years. Tickets for the Club Christmas party (in the Vine on December 6th) are now available for purchase from the store (here). £10 entry includes entry and food. AGM report Congratulations to our new lifetime members, Eamon Byrne and Stephen Nash! It was agreed that subscription fees would remain at £30 per year. Paid membership at time of AGM is 290 members. Cabbage Patch will continue to be the club’s 10 mile championship race. Congratulations to this year’s champions, Lauren Longhurst and Mark McAvoy. The club came 3rd overall in this year’s Summer League. This year we held the inaugural club handicap race in Highgate Woods, organised by John. We will use the same ranking system next year but members will only get a handicap if they have participated in at least one race that is recorded in our database. It has been a successful year for the beginners group, led by Laurie, with three separate courses this year. Andrew has also been leading regular runs for the intermediate group and Sam has been leading a 5k-10k group. Thanks to Nik for running the Regent’s park series and to the many volunteers and pacers.
