London marathon runners: tell us your details
London marathon runners: for cheering purposes Alice and Sam need to know roughly what time you think you might finish in, and what you’ll be wearing (ideally a Chasers vest, of course but cheers are available to all). This is so the cheering squad can have a better chance of spotting you and giving you a cheer on the day. Please add your details to the Facebook thread, or reply to this email and it will be passed on. Good luck everyone!
Cheering station
Please let Sam know if you are planning to help set up the Chasers Cheering station at mile 22. Details available here, we need people to arrive at 8am to get our usual spot. You can also come along any time later in the day to lend your cheers and support to our runners, it is always lots of fun and greatly appreciated by all. The post-marathon celebration is upstairs at The Pineapple pub.
Club handicap championship
Our inaugural club handicap championship will take place on Thursday 16 May instead of the usual track session.
The plan is that it will take place in Highgate Woods, starting and ending at the cricket pitch and will be 3 laps – so approximately 3.5 miles. Details of how the handicap system will work are all to be confirmed, but get it in your diary anyway.
You will need to sign up in advance using the link below. If you can’t run, please volunteer to marshal using the same link. Just say “I’d like to marshal” when you sign up. We’ll need about 6 marshals.
Kit
We now have men’s T-shirts in stock! They are available for purchase via the store. https://www.chaser.me.uk/news/store.php
If you need to pick up this or any other items you’ve ordered already please contact Fiona Carr.
We are still awaiting the additional vest sizes, so apologies for the delays.
Supporting Charities
If you're taking part in any running event on a charity place, or are making the most of a Chaser event place by raising money for a good cause, then let us know and we'll promote your giving page in our newsletter.
