Race Report: The Big Half
A number of chasers braved the 45mph winds across London on Sunday morning in The Big Half. This is fairly new event which is the first half of the London marathon starting near Tower Bridge and ending in Greenwich. I was really thinking I had made poor life choices standing wearing a bin bag at the start in the rain with sweet Caroline blaring on the sound system. However I have seen the best idea for pre-race attire of a dressing gown and will be taking note. Even through the windy conditions a number of Chasers ran PBs! Special well done to Lola and Daniele, first Chasers home. – Jenny
Parkrun
To celebrate the success of our beginners course, Chasers will be running Hampstead Heath parkrun on Saturday 30th. Everyone is welcome to join!
Southern Athletics League
Spring is on the way which means it will soon be time for the Southern Athletics league! Fixtures are listed in the calendar and more information including timetables can be found here. All are welcome to take part and earn points for the team, and it’s a great way to test your speed or to try some new field events. Following the success of the collaboration last year we are again teaming up with Highgate Harriers. Get in touch with Lauren if you have any questions.
