Race report Met XC League, Welwyn Garden City Last Saturday saw 15 Chasers head out to exotic Welwyn Garden City to take part in the second Met League race of the season. This is the second time the race has been held at Stanborough Park, an undulating course with parts going through a woods and opportunities to run in mud. The men had the pleasure of running through a massive hailstorm while the women made use of the tent belonging to Newham and Essex Beagles. We wanted to cheer the men on but we had to protect the cakes, you see. There were a record number of runners taking part at the weekend - 266 women and 530 men. Well done to Fiona Russell and William Fulton who were first Chaser woman and man respectively. The women are now 7th in their league division out of 22. Everyone who runs gets points for the club regardless of finish position. The men are in 10th position out of 25. The next Met League race will take place on the first of December in Uxbridge, all abilities are welcome! – Carmen Harrington   Calendar Here's whats happening over the next few weeks other than our usual Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday runs.
