Karl Baddeley Beer Mile Report (Alice Sullivan) The Karl Baddeley estate entrusted me, club chair Alice Sullivan, with the vital task of judging the beer mile ‘combativity award’ for the most spectacular failure. Competition was stiff. Nikolas Stephan was a strong contender as the only competitor this year to vomit. Honourable mention must also go to Lauren Longhurst for her spectacular failure to turn up and contest the women’s championship. However, in the end John Armstrong’s grotesque, noisy, disturbing, but ultimately fruitless efforts to vomit in order to collect on a £5 bet with Russ Hall carried the day. Regents Park 10K Race (Sunday 4th March) There are still four places left for marshalling the next 10K event, please see link below to sign up. Marshals are very important to ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely and so if you are available that day then please sign up to the cause!
