Beer Mile
This coming Thursday (22nd February) sees the third outing for the Karl Baddeley Memorial Beer Mile. This got a great write up last year and so for those not yet signed up, there is still time, just click here to make your dreams come true. All Chasers are welcome at this event and despite the name, it is very open to non beer drinkers!
Cross Country
As people start to turn their attentions to the various Marathons on the Horizon, don't forget about the cross country that is still going on. What better way to see out the cross country season (or enter it) than the National Cross Country Championships this Saturday. See link below for a link to sign up.
Regents Park 10K
Sunday 4th March will be the final leg of the Regents Park Winter 10K series and what a series it has been. On behalf of all those that have joined one/all of the races in the series, a very big thank you to all those involved in organising this. There are lots of names that could go in here, however a particular thank you to Carmen for pulling all the threads together on this. It is a great event and offers some rare motivation to get out of bed early on a Sunday over the Winter.
We are still looking for seven marshals at present for the next race, whom without this event could not go ahead. So for anyone that has not yet done this, or for those that have and enjoyed it, please sign up below. Your help is very much appreciated and is very important for making sure this event goes ahead.
On another note, for anyone interested in the Avenue of the Giants Marathon, Peter Torre would be happy to catch up and have a run through of logistics for this years race. If you hang around the Hub Cafe after the forthcoming Regents Park 10K around 11am.
Met League Trent Cross (Race Report)
The final Met League fixture of the season took place on Saturday 10th February at Trent Country Park. Runners were faced with classic cross country conditions thanks to the rain making it the muddiest race of the season. Runners enjoyed the hilly course which will stand to them when faced with Parliament Hill at the National Cross Country Champs in a few weeks.
For those of you are not ready to say goodbye to cross country in February, The Middlesex Masters XC Champs 2018 will take place in Royston, Hertfordshire on Sunday the 25th of March. Individual age groups will be in the following categories: W35-44, W45-54, W55-64, W65+, M40-49, M50-59, M60-69 & M70+. You can find more details here.
