Christmas Party A big thank you to everyone involved in organising and attending the Chasers Christmas party on Friday night, on what was a very enjoyable evening. The early stage of the evening saw the kitchen serving up a feast, with some lovely dishes sliding out of the kitchen washed down with some festive bubbles. Next up was the prize giving, with a sense of deja vu arising as some familiar faces dominated the leader board and picked up a Chasers long sleeved top (which provided very useful to one Chaser in particular later on in the evening). However, this all proved just to be a warm up to what the evening was actually about- the cereal box Olympics. Sam acted as compare in what was a very funny display of Chasers seeing just how low they could/would go to retrieve the cereal box from the floor. Things started reasonably pedestrian, however as the cereal box diminished, so too did the competition. Despite winning the senior mens, John was forced to retire. After that, the big scalps fell. Despite a solid start, Lauren fell by the wayside and then there was Miles who, despite his best endeavours (and a bare chest) couldn’t quite make it. To cut the story short, Simon Fitzmaurice took the crown, well done Simon! Regents Park 10k Thanks to everyone who marshalled, paced, took photos and manned water/fuel stations at the MCRP10K yesterday. We got great feedback about the event including the following from some runners:  'Would be grateful if you could pass on my thanks to all the stewards for encouraging us around Regents park this morning, really helped us slow ones', 'I enjoyed myself today, great organisation'. (I promise these quotes are genuine). With that in mind, we still need some marshals for the remaining races in the series. You can sign up to marshal via the calendar. If you can help out with pacing or photography, please contact Carmen. Beginners Parkrun There will be a beginners Parkrun taking place this Saturday 9th December at Hampstead Heath (see calendar below for details). If anyone fancies doing this and wants to know who else will be going then why not post on the Chasers facebook page and see.
