October Cross Country Races October sees the first cross country races of the season- the Met League fixture at Claybury on the 14th and the North of the Thames Championships (Liddiard Trophy) in Kingsbury on the 28th. There are no entries on the day for the latter so make sure you sign up in advance. Trail shoes should be suitable for both of these courses. Spooky Run IV Do you dare join us for Spooky Run IV? It's a spine chilling (in the loosest sense) headtorch run across Hampstead Heath to celebrate Hallowe'en. Bring your headtorch if you have one, and if you don't, you can borrow one of the club's. It's about 6 miles at the pace of the slowest on the paths and trails of Hampstead Heath. We meet at Talacre at the usual time. Fancy dress is optional but highly recommended. We will go to Tapping the Admiral afterwards. MCRP10K There was a good turnout at the first race of the winter series which took place yesterday. Apart from a moderate wind which made some people come in 21 seconds over their projected finish time, race conditions were good. Well done to Stephen Nash and Emma Hayward who were the first chaser male and female past the post. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped to set the event up, marshalled, manned water stations and to Jenny for taking photographs.
