Beginners Group Celebration (P/p)arkrun The current Beginners' Group will finish at the end of this month. To celebrate their achievement, the graduates will be running Hampstead Heath parkrun on Saturday 1st July, and it would be great if lots of Chasers (in their Chaser vests) were there to cheer them on. It's the day before the Dulwich Summer League, so a perfect opportunity to have a gentle 5k jog whilst supporting our newest members. If you have any questions, please contact Stephen (beginners@chaser.me.uk).  Summer League- Headstone Manor, Harrow A three lap course around the streets surrounding Headstone Manor Park coupled with a scorching hot morning made for a tough race at Headstone Manor. It didn’t stop the Chasers from coming out in force and racing in the 10k, relays and tenderfoot races. Well done to Myles for being the first Chaser male past the finish line despite having run in the 5000m race at SAL the day before and Alison West for being the first female Chaser. Well done also to Rosa for completing her first 10k in two year after coming back from injury and to Adrian for remaining positive despite the fact that he had to run an extra mile (reasons undisclosed). The miniature Chasers represented well at the 1 mile tenderfoot race, putting in a few sprint finishes. A special mention has to go to Lucy Watt for giving four adult men a run for their money in her leg of the mixed relay. Thanks to Dave Nelson for organising everyone and harassing us into taking part in the relays, Emma for organising the bus (otherwise a significant amount of us would have been tempted to stay in bed) and Metros running club for a good picnic (although our one in July will be better). The next Summer League race will take place in Dulwich Park (5 miles) on the 2nd of July. Race around with John Armstrong as he attempts to complete his 5 miles in 31 minutes (Myles has threatened to oust him from the club if he doesn't achieve this). The rest of us can run the course at a more leisurely speed if we wish to do so. If running isn’t your thing, you can still take part in Summer League by marshalling at our Regents Park race in July.
