St Neots Half Marathon St Neots half marathon entries open at 6am on 2nd May. A link to the race entry will be posted on their website. This a fast course with a long history of Chaser PB. It will be one of our target races for the autumn and will take place on the 19th of November. A coach will be booked to get us there so as with previous years, we’re hoping for a big Chaser turn-out. Night of the 10,000m - volunteers needed Camden Council are looking for volunteer marshals to help out at The Night of the 10,000m PBs at Parliament Hill Track on Saturday 20th of May.  Marshals will be required from 3.00pm – 10.00pm. No previous athletics marshalling experience is required. The deadline for expressing interest is the week commencing 15th May. Please find the details of how to sign up here. London Marathon Ballot The London marathon ballot opened today and will close at 5pm on 5th May. Note that if you want to apply for a club place, you must keep your proof that you entered the ballot. Club places are allocated in December based on volunteering for the club. If you are good for age, entries open in June. Race Reports European Triathlon Union (ETU) Championships Nicola Timmins picked up her first medal as a member of Team GB in Soria, Spain on Sunday winning a bronze medal in her age group in the ETU sprint duathlon. Congratulations Nicola, a fantastic, well deserved achievement. Nicola qualified for the GB team last October and has since continued to train and build up speed and endurance in both her cycling and running. Velopark Duathlon - Smiles and medals  On Sunday, eight members raced in the Velopark Duathlon with fantastic support from other members, friends and partners. The temperature was perfect but the wind caused some problems! Sarah Taylor won silver medals in both her age-group and the overall women's race and Hannah McQuarrie the bronze in both events with Andrea winning gold in the over 50s. Raced over the wonderful, smooth, mile circuit the event is a two-mile run + 10 mile cycle + one-mile run. Always a challenge but always ending in smiles! – Andrea Pub night It’s the monthly pub night tomorrow. Tables have been booked at Tapping The Admiral from 8:30pm.
