Cabbage Patch entries open Entries are open for the Cabbage Patch 10 mile race on 16 October – this is one of our club championship races so always well attended by Chasers.  New club record At the Southern Athletics league last weekend, Lucy Fox broke the club female 800m record – club records can now be found on our website.  Spring marathon fundraising Tina Allardyce ran the London Marathon yesterday for Alzheimer's society – sponsor her here.  If you’d like your fundraising to be included in the newsletter, please email the details to newsletter@chaser.me.uk before 15 May.  If you do then not only will you be advertising to a whole load of potential sponsors in your fellow clubmates, the club itself may also consider making a donation to your chosen charity.  Coached sessions this week Both the Tuesday and Thursday sessions this week will be led by Andrea.  Details will be posted on the Mornington Chasers Facebook page in advance for anyone unable to attend. Race reports London Marathon 25 April The biggest race of the year took place yesterday and Mornington Chasers got involved in every way.  Not only did we have more than 30 runners, we also had a substantial gang of cheerers at our usual spot around miles 13 & 22 and dotted at various other points around the course.  In addition, there were also 12 hardy Chasers up at the crack of dawn to volunteer by organising the 20K elite drinks station. Well done to all our runners, with new PBs, first-timers and others struggling through with injuries – an outstanding achievement for every one of you!  Official results will hopefully be coming soon.  Calendar Here's whats happening over the next few weeks other than our usual Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday runs.
