Winter series marshals
We need two more volunteers to marshal next Sunday 6th March for the last of the Winter Series races. This series provides 50% of the clubs revenue and is therefore vitally important to the running of the club. You can volunteer by signing up through the website here.
Your support is much appreciated.

BHF Harewood House Half Marathon, 28 February
Harewood House is a beautiful stately home just outside of Leeds, West Yorkshire, surrounded by acres of countryside and forests (with deer and red kites). The course is all trails, with a few road running sections (trail shoes recommended, but sturdy road runners would suffice on a dry day), and lots of hills! Mile 9 had a particularly tough gradual slope up a grassy verge. All was very well organised, with a well regulated number of runners and a large crew of marshals. My only gripe would be that the race seemed to be half a mile short, finishing at 12.6 miles. All in all, I would definitely recommend this one, and intend on inviting fellow runners to visit my home county to do it next year! - Simon Fitzmaurice
