Winter series marshals We need two more volunteers to marshal next Sunday 6th March for the last of the Winter Series races.  This series provides 50% of the clubs revenue and is therefore vitally important to the running of the club.  You can volunteer by signing up through the website here.  Your support is much appreciated. Green belt relay The Green Belt Relay is on the 21st/22nd May and the deadline is the 23rd March.  It's a 22 stage relay that takes place over 2 days, starts in Hampton Court, breaks for the night in Blakemore in Essex and ends in Ham. 11 members are needed for this relay team and possible drivers too. More information can be found on the Green Belt Relay website.  You can sign up via the calendar on the website here.  Coached sessions this week Both the Tuesday and Thursday (track) coached sessions will be led by Andrea this week and details will be posted on the Mornington Chasers Facebook page in advance for anyone unable to attend.  Pub night It's pub night post-run on Tuesday at Tapping the Admiral. Tables are booked from 8.30. Race Reports If you have something to say about a race you’ve run or can recommend any forthcoming races, please email newsletter@chaser.me.uk.  BHF Harewood House Half Marathon, 28 February Harewood House is a beautiful stately home just outside of Leeds, West Yorkshire, surrounded by acres of countryside and forests (with deer and red kites). The course is all trails, with a few road running sections (trail shoes recommended, but sturdy road runners would suffice on a dry day), and lots of hills! Mile 9 had a particularly tough gradual slope up a grassy verge. All was very well organised, with a well regulated number of runners and a large crew of marshals. My only gripe would be that the race seemed to be half a mile short, finishing at 12.6 miles. All in all, I would definitely recommend this one, and intend on inviting fellow runners to visit my home county to do it next year! - Simon Fitzmaurice Calendar Here's whats happening over the next few weeks other than our usual Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday runs.
