CLUB WINTER SERIES 10K IN REGENT'S PARK
Members are needed to marshal the next two races in our winter series on 7 February and 6 March. These races are essential to help keep our membership fees low and provide the many benefits that we all enjoy. And if you need an extra incentive above the warm feeling that volunteering and cheering the runners provides, you also get free entry to one of the races. Marshalling is just one of the many ways you can be involved with the club. You can now sign up and see how many marshalls are still needed for each month on the website at http://www.chaser.me.uk/news/calendar.php

2015 AGM MINUTES
The minutes from the 2015 AGM in November are now available on the website at http://www.chaser.me.uk/docs/2016/AGM_2015 Minutes_and_Actions.pdf

TRAIL RACE IN MAY
A gang of Chasers will be running a 17km race in the Lake District in May. We're hoping to hire a large house for the weekend (should work out roughly the same cost as a B&B). Note that the race is on the Saturday morning. If anyone would like to join us please sign up for the "Staveley 17K and 10K" on the events calendar and click "I'm doing it!".

THIS WEEK'S SESSIONS:
Tuesday - Coached hills session with Andrea, suitable for all levels
	 - Various pace runs at various distances
Thursday - Track with Andrea, suitable for all levels.
Sunday morning long runs - see Facebook for paces/distances.
For more details about runs, cycle rides plus our couch to 5K programme for non-members please see the club website or Facebook page.

RACE RESULTS
To include your results in the newsletter please email newsletter@chaser.me.uk with the details. A brief description of what you thought of the race and if you would recommend it to others would be great too, but not essential. There is no need to send results from Club races such as Summer League, Southern Athletics League and Start Fitness Metropolitan Cross Country League as these are gathered by the team captains/event managers.

You can now also see a selection of results on the website at https://www.chaser.me.uk/news/results.php

Runthrough Brixton 10K, 10 January
"3 lap course entirely on footpaths up and down Brockwell Park near Herne Hill - pretty steep at times, but a fun, undulating run in lovely green surroundings. I have always enjoyed Runthrough events - affordable, nice locations, well organised."

Country to Capital 45, 16 January
"The Country to Capital 45 (actually 42.2) is the first ultra of the year. If you fancy giving ultra running a go (and you should!) I would strongly recommend it. The race starts from Wendover which you get to on the first train from Marylebone. The first half of the run is on trails through the very attractive Buckinghamshire countryside. At half way you hit the Grand Union at Denham, go through Southall, Alperton, Park Royal and finish, very conveniently, at Little Venice. Five checkpoints with water, cake etc. Route finding is idiot proof on the canal and at the start you follow everybody else. In the second quarter you need to know which way up to hold map. By way of context the winner did the race in 4:59 (!?!) and my time put me at the bottom of the third quartile. Cut off is 11 hours which gives you loads of margin."
