CHASERS CHRISTMAS PARTY
Don't forget to sign up for the Christmas party on the website. December 4th at the Grafton - £10.50 including food and a drink. It's our main social event of the year and a good opportunity to celebrate all our successes through the year. Partners and friends welcome. Buy your ticket at https://www.chaser.me.uk/news/store.php

NEW CONSTITUTION & NEW COMMITTEE
At the recent AGM, a new club constitution was agreed - this is available on the website at http://www.chaser.me.uk/about/Club%20Constitution%20and%20Rules.docx
A new committee was also elected and you can see who's who at http://www.chaser.me.uk/contact/whoswho.php

COACHING UPDATE
Hannah, Avril and I met last week to discuss and agree who would lead which sessions until a new head coach is appointed to cover Thursdays. We also looked at an outline to ensure we deliver sessions relevant to members and that may blend in with individual coaching plans using a mix of threshold running, hills and track.

For the remainder of 2015 sessions to include 2 x mile time trials, cross country focus, hills for strength and practice running at different paces. As usual sessions include warm-up drills and possible focus on a particular aspect of running – for example, use of arms, leg speed / stride length on hills and so on.

Throughout January the emphasis moves towards the many members training for spring marathons. I am, however, mindful of members planning to run the indoor track season (including me) or shorter events and so Thursday track sessions provide a choice of training to cover both short and long distances.

There is a wealth of running and multi-sport experience within the club. If you have any questions please do ask and if I’m not able to help feel sure I can direct you towards someone who can.

I look forward to working with you.

Andrea

TRIATHLON ON TV
For all members who love the triathlon there is a programme currently on iPlayer about the Celtman, available for the next 9 days, http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b06mtrr1/the-adventure-show-20152016-episode-4 which is held around Loch Torridon in north west Scotland which you may find interesting. It is more like an ironman with knobs on but if anyone fancies entering it I would be happy to be part of the support team. Rob Mitchell.

CLUB WINTER SERIES 10K IN REGENT'S PARK
Members are needed to marshal the next four races in our winter series. These races are essential to help keep our membership fees low and provide the many benefits that we all enjoy. And if you need an extra incentive above the warm feeling that volunteering and cheering the runners provides, you also get free entry to one of the races. Marshalling is just one of the many ways you can be involved with the club. Please let Alice know if you would like to volunteer.

THIS WEEK'S SESSIONS:
Tuesday - Mile time-trial with Andrea, including warm up drills, strides and pacing through the mile plus timed mile
	 - Various pace runs at various distances
	 - Couch to 5K
Thursday - Hills with Andrea
Sunday 9am long run - see Facebook for paces/distances
The coached session details are usually posted on our Facebook page on the day.
For more details about runs on Tuesdays and across the week, cycle rides and reps plus our couch to 5K programme for non-members please see the club website or Facebook page.

RACE RESULTS
To include your results in the newsletter please email newsletter@chaser.me.uk with the details. A brief description of what you thought of the race and if you would recommend it to others would be great too, but not essential. There is no need to send results from Club races such as Summer League, Southern Athletics League and Start Fitness Metropolitan Cross Country League as these are gathered by the team captains/event managers.
