SUMMER LEAGUE: FREE TRANSPORT
The first of the Summer League races is almost here. Transport has been organised for the races in Harrow and Gunnersbury. The coach is free but spaces are limited to 38. Sign up for a spot on the coach using the calendar. Remember, all of the Summer League races are also free of charge -no sign up is neccessary, you just need to wear your Chaser vest to take part.
Did you run your spring marathon for a charity? If so, you have until the 14th of May to notify the club in order for a donation to be made to your charity. You can do so by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Golden Stag Mile
Entries are now open for the Golden Stag Mile which will take place at Finsbury Park track on 22 June. This track has been recently resurfaced and it will be an ideal event to aim for a PB. There is usually a good turnout of Chasers. Sign up here.
In April, my boyfriend and I (Harry Dryden - also a member) ran 175 miles from Porto, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela, Spain over 10 days. This makes up one of the routes of the Camino de Santiago.
It was an amazing experience and lots of wonderful running! It wasn't a timed event and there weren't any medals at the end, but we do have some Garmin data to prove we did it! -Debra Burns
